The WordPress Jetpack plugin is still breaking my RSS feed. There’s a thread on GitHub about it but no real fix. The spam protection and backup parts work without the main plugin turned on but I’m paying for more than that.
I’ve had my name in a few CD booklets but this is the first time seeing my name in an actual book.
I went to the opticians for a long overdue eye test yesterday. The good news is my sight and eyes are fine with only a little change from my previous prescription. The bad news is I’m getting reading glasses which makes me officially getting old.
Quitting Twitter has been on my mind but there are people there I don’t want to lose touch with. I wish they would come to micro.blog. Instead I’ve created a private list called “Favourite People” and I’m being absolutely ruthless about who gets on it. Let’s see how it goes.
It cost twice as much as my TV but I’m glad I bought the Sonos Beam. The upgrade in TV sound quality is amazing. Voice control is a bit patchy but that doesn’t really bother me.
I’ve won £10 for last place in the work World Cup sweepstake. It’s £10 more than nearly everyone else so mustn’t grumble. Thanks, Panama.
It’s absurd that Instapaper is still offline for European users. I’m afraid they’ve lost me and I’m now looking at IndieWeb alternatives.
I was sorry to see that the O2 ABC in Sauchiehall Street was destroyed in the fire that engulfed the Glasgow School of Art. I’d grown to really like the place and saw a lot of great bands there over the last few years. Its burning leaves a big hole in the Glasgow music scene.
