I’m giving the Flickr iOS app another try. It could do with an updated design but the Photos sync seems to be working a lot faster than the last time I tried it. My whole library is backed up now and I just need to go through every upload and delete all the memes and rubbish that I’ve accumulated over the last few years.
It’s been two days since I had my second dose of the Pfizer vaccine and I’ve had no after effects at all this time. The lines were much longer but the whole process was very well organised. Kudos to NHS Scotland. Looking forward to getting back to real pub quizzes.
Learning French online. All of the big online sites seem to have their lovers and haters so I just picked Babbel because the reviews for their basic French course were decent and the price was right. I’m ten days in and enjoying myself.
I used my exercise bike every day for about three months and just stopped before Christmas. The grinding repitition of lockdown days just got to me and drained my enthusiasm for everything (including my favourite music).
It’s a new month, though, and the weather is slowly changing. Seems like a great day to start again.
Lots of great music released again this year. The album that I played, and enjoyed, the most is A Steady, Drip, Drip, Drip by Sparks. It kept me afloat through the rotten summer and, for that reason, is my Album Of The Year.
Just when I think I’m out they pull me back in again. This is the latest I’ve ever waited to buy a World of Warcraft expansion but I’ve just pre-ordered. I had my doubts about keeping my account going but I guess I have a need to know where the continuing WoW story goes. Let’s see.
WordPress 5.5 and everything appears to be in working order. I’m reading lots of comments on Twitter about serious bugs but I haven’t come across any yet.
The SemPress theme was also updated with a better integration of Syndication Links and Post Kinds plugins. It looks nice.
The weather was wet and miserable today but things brightened a little when I followed a link to this album,
The Stubborness Of Things by Peter Rogers (Bandcamp). I had one listen through and bought it soon after. My new “Good Things” Twitter list is bearing fruit already.
Who are the “sheep”? People that wear face-coverings to protect their family and friends? Or those that want to get on their knees and defend an economy that doesn’t give one single hoot about them?
My latest homescreen layout. I’m on the iOS 14 public beta but I’m not using any widgets yet. I’ve removed all pages and I’m using stock apps for mail, notes, and reminders. The other apps are the ones I tend to use the most.
