Just when I think I’m out they pull me back in again. This is the latest I’ve ever waited to buy a World of Warcraft expansion but I’ve just pre-ordered. I had my doubts about keeping my account going but I guess I have a need to know where the continuing WoW story goes. Let’s see.
However for a lot of people that will end up with the realization that you start WoW Classic at level 1, and that it takes bloody forever (compared with today's WoW leveling speed) to get to level 60. Most of your friends are gone. And that even if you arrive at "putting the band back together", that band now consists of a bunch of grumpy middle-aged men, who aren't willing to take the same shit as 15 years ago.
These thoughts pretty much chime with my own about “WoW Classic”. I remember almost giving up due to the grindy nature of the game but I was lucky enough to meet my “band” early on and they kept me going. My account is still active because I’m always interested in the big story arcs but my raiding days are long gone.
I found my original World Of Warcraft installation discs complete with thick user manual. When was the last time someone actually read a WoW user manual?
Great voice acting can elevate the game it's in to new heights. This is a lesson that has been learned through and through in the games industry, and it's a lesson Blizzard has clearly learned.
I think Blizzard has taken voice work and music to new heights of excellence this time.
I don’t listen to many game soundtrack albums but I do love the Mists Of Pandaria (World Of Warcraft) score. It’s one of the best they’ve ever done. MoP also happens to be one of my favourite WoW expansions so it’s always nice to revisit.
We've talked before about upcoming system requirements for Battle for Azeroth when the configuration warning was first datamined, but now we know exactly what they will be -- and they are significantly higher than Legion.
My late 2015 iMac just gets in on the minimum graphics card settings. I’ll have to see how things go but I’m not in the market for a new desktop computer yet.
