I’m a fan of Wes Anderson’s films but, gosh, The French Dispatch is hard work. The premise is interesting but the execution is very dull. It looks beautiful but I cared nothing for what’s happening or any of the characters. I need to watch Rushmore again. 🎥

I never expect much from these things but this one had quite an emotional punch in the last third. Maybe it’s just my current state of mine but I was quite moved.

Tom Holland as Spider-Man is hard to dislike and this film is hard to dislike.
Watched the old Hammer classic The Devil Rides Out again. It has some genuinely scary scenes but I can’t help laughing at some of Christopher Lee’s hammier lines. It still stands up quite well despite being over fifty years old. 🍿
