Film log - watched Spider-Man: No Way Home. I never expect much from these things but this one had quite an emotional punch in the last third. Maybe it’s just my current state of mind but I was made teary-eyed by a Spider-Man movie. 🎥
I’ve read lots of good things about the Pilot iroshizuku inks. I could have bought more ink in a full bottle for less than the cost of this little set but I wanted to try a few different colours. The tsuki-yo is my favourite so far. 🖋

Trying to make the best of the first decent summer day here. A heatwave is heading for the UK according to the forecasts but, as the old joke goes, “that’s except for viewers of BBC Scotland”.
Tough week. It was my dad’s funeral on Monday. I find myself almost getting back into a “normal” routine and then I remember something and everything comes flooding back. I suppose this is the new “normal” for me now.
Nice clue in today’s Guardian cryptic crossword. Solving it will require knowing a bit of British slang.
